STUDENTS - Join Us for a Complimentary Program Meeting
Our SHRM-WC Chapter strongly encourages human resource management students to be involved in our Chapter activities. Students can attend our monthly meetings for professional development in a wide variety of topics as well as for a great opportunity to network with professionals in the Human Resource Management field.
Monthly meetings are usually held on the second week of each month. (See events section on this website for further details). Times of these sessions alternate between breakfast (7:00 to 9:00 AM) or lunch (11:00 AM to 1:00 PM). Students are asked to register on-line through the event page on the web site. Students who pre-register and show their student ID may join us for one complimentary program meeting.
WEST. CONN. STUDENTS - Apply for Our Scholarship
Human Resource Majors at Western Connecticut State University can also apply for the annual "SHRM-WC Scholarship in Memory of Mr. Bernie Eisenberg". This year's scholarship application is available in the Management Department at WCSU. Applications for the next scholarship award will begin in the spring in 2015.
The annual scholarship is for $1500. Interested WCSU Human Resource students can contact the Chair of the Management Dept. or contact Maureen Gernert, Student Chapter Chair.
SHRM-WC professionals have also assisted students by acting as resources for student research on related HR topics. Students may also be able to participate in an office visit for an "inside look" into Human Resources.
For information on learning more about how to get involved with SHRM-WC, contact Maureen Gernert, Student Chapter/Education Chair at 203-837-8266.
We look forward to your participation in our SHRM-WC activities!
